  • A New Years thought!

Hello to all! I am posting again before the old year is over and the new begins.

I would just like to share a thought with you all that I had about the CROSS and how big it is. There have been some issues I have been struggling with the last few days and even the last few weeks, I have not really be wrestling with God but just seeking Him and asking the Lord for wisdom, on how to give advise... And one thing that kept coming back to my mind was the Cross, and God's grace and how Christ took all the punishment for our sins on himself when He went to the cross... And I was just reminded of how much grace God really does give to us, and how all I really have to do is look to the cross and remember what Jesus did for me. Over the past few days of this holiday season I was reading this book, though they were all fictional character's, the situations were very real life circumstances and things that we all struggle with today, and one of the things this author was dealing with was the cross and how when we have doubts and struggles and think we are not good enough and don't see ourselves as God sees us, all we have to do is look to the cross and know that it is big enough to take our doubts and our fears and our struggles. In the book I was reading, they were talking about sin and how some people can overlook the severity of sin, here are they words that this character said in talking to this woman, "I'm not dismissing the severity of your sin, but I understand the greatness of the cross. Your sin has been covered. It's gone. You're not that person anymore". After reading that my heart was so touched. How often do we, as Christians, look at another Christian and keep dwelling on their past when we know by their fruits that they have in all sincerity humbled themselves before the Lord and are striving to walk according to the Lord and the way that He would have them to go, who are we to judge if their sin has been paid for or not, Scripture tells us that our sins are washed white as snow, and that Christ came to pay for that sin on the cross, and when you stop and reflect upon the greatness of the cross.... well, it just about renders me speechless, because who has the words to completely explain the greatness of the Cross but Christ Himself.

Well anyway.... I will leave you all with those thoughts and I would love to hear what you have to say about the greatness of the Cross.

May this holiday weekend be filled with many blessings for you and your family, and May you see Christ in all that you do, and may His love shine through each and everyone!

    Happy New Year!

  • God's Goodness!

I am sure most if not all of you have read Marvelanne's blog and know about the accident that we had (and seen the pictures). As we come upon the time of year where we are thinking about all the Lord has done for us, and the kind of year it has been. I so often reminded of the Grace and Mercy of God. I just celebrated my 25th birthday, and to think that if it had been the Lord's will, 2 weeks ago I might have been spending that day in the presence of My Lord and Saviour. It just goes to show you have short life really is, that your life can be over in the blink of an eye. It has made me take a step back and say, how can I use this accident to help people understand who God is and how awesome He is. And that if  your time here on earth is not finished, he won't take you home to be with Him.

Thank you all so much for the prayers and encouragement you have given to Karen and I it has really helped us make it through this difficult time. Please keep praying for us though because there are still things we are having to do.

May this Christmas season help you to reflect upon how important your family is, and to treasure each moment you have with them.
    God's Blessings on you all.
    Merry Christmas!

  • Posting Again!

I am posting again! I just sat down at the computer for a few minutes and thought I would do a quick post.

Here is a list of "some" of the things I have been doing the last few weeks.
Working at Gateway Christian Schools, the umbrella school for homeschoolers in the local area, my job consists of answering the phones, filing, filing, and more filing.

Went to Indiana for two weeks with one of my brothers for a web design course. In between those two weeks, we flew home for the weekend for Diane's recital, and then went back to Indy for another week of classes built two websites (have not published them), and came back to play a wedding at church!

Then! Karen and Joe are involved in a theatre production of Oklahoma which I am helping with costumes on.
    And.....

we have several weddings coming up that we are playing for as well as attending. Our summer is filling up fast!

Today, Jacob and I babysat a set of twins for the artistic directior of the Desoto Family Theatre, they are so adorable, they really loved Jacob!!! he was holding one of them in a recliner and the other one crawled up in his lap and they both fell asleep! it was so cute, I took pictures on my phone and I am trying to figure out how to get them off my phone. they were born 3 months early, and are walking miracles though they still have a ways to go.

well, I have to run! Sorry it took me so long to post once again! I will try and post more often "sigh".

    Blessings to you all!
